Focused on people
Good human-centric lighting control aims to regulate artificial light in such a way that it supports the natural day-night rhythm (circadian rhythm) of humans. To do this, the intensity and colour of the light are adjusted to resemble the course of daylight. Unlike a simple timer, our HCL control system takes various factors into account to maximise the biological effectiveness of the light.
LuxCircadia
Based on circadian biology, we offer perfect control for private households and businesses. We take into account not only the colour of the light, but also its brightness and intensity. Optimised and customisable light curves are available for different areas.
Integration
The data can be integrated via the API interface in smart homes and building automation systems, such as Loxone and other common systems. It is always perfectly tailored to our high-quality MINALOX products.
Basic principles and objectives
- Synchronisation of the circadian rhythm: HCL helps to stabilise the human biorhythm. Bright, cool light during the day promotes alertness and concentration, while warm, subdued light in the evening promotes sleep.
- Visual aspects: Optimal illumination for visual tasks is ensured by adjusting the illuminance and light colour to the respective activity.
- Emotional and biological effects: HCL takes into account the visual effects of light that influence mood, well-being and performance.
- Dynamic light curves: The
core of our HCL control system is the dynamic adjustment of the
light colour (colour temperature) and brightness (light intensity) throughout the
day.
- Morning: Cool, energising light with high illuminance to promote alertness .
- Midday: A short phase with very high illuminance, simulating the peak of daylight outdoors.
- Afternoon/evening: Gradual reduction in illuminance and increase in the warm component (up to 1,800 Kelvin) to prepare the body for the rest phase.
Optional individual adjustments
- Individual control: An
automatic daylight curve forms the basis, but depending on the
interface used, our HCL control also allows for
individual adjustments.
- Manual operation: Users have the option of manually adjusting the lighting mood for a specific period of time , for example via buttons, apps or panels.
- Scenes: Predefined scenarios for different activities (e.g. concentration, relaxation) can be called up at the touch of a button.
- Presence and
motion detectors: The sensors detect whether there are people in the room
and switch the lights on or off automatically as required.
This not only saves energy, but also integrates the lighting
seamlessly into the workflow.
- Holistic planning: We
consider the entire lighting concept, including indoor and outdoor luminaires
.
- Consistent concept: The use of uniform light sources and controls throughout the entire building ensures a harmonious and biologically effective lighting environment.
- Easy commissioning
and operation: LuxCircadia can be put into operation without complex programming.
